The Jacksonville Jaguars made somewhat of a surprising decision this past offseason to re-sign wide receiver Marqise Lee after his first four seasons in the NFL didn’t yield the most productive return on investment.

Lee was expected to be one of the best wide receivers from the vaunted 2014 NFL Draft class but didn’t really start to figure things out until the 2016 season, when he had a small-scale breakout with 63 receptions for 851 yards and three touchdowns.

The Jaguars seem to have put plenty of confidence in him now after his 56 catches for 702 yards a season ago, prioritizing bringing him back along with adding through free agency and the draft.

Now officially the number one receiver in Jacksonville, Lee could eclipse 1,000 yards for the first time in his career, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him set a career high in touchdown catches.
