Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

Despite being perhaps the rawest of all the quarterbacks in this year’s class, I think Josh Allen actually may stand the best chance of being an opening day starter.

The Buffalo Bills were committed to drafting someone at this position all year long, and their signing of A.J. McCarron to backup money with a number of other starting-caliber quarterbacks available is as telling as anything.

I think Allen is going to be thrown to the wolves, and he can handle it.

Allen has had his share of tough moments in college, dating back to not really being recruited by anyone at all in high school.

He stunk against top competition, largely because Wyoming wasn’t good enough, but also because he tried to do too much and ultimately couldn’t do enough.

Allen is willing to put the team on his back, but maybe for the first time in his football career with NFL players around him, he won’t necessarily have to.
