While few and far, the Philadelphia Eagles have some roster competition as they prepare to defend their Super Bowl championship

Despite coming out of the 2018 NFL Draft with the second-fewest selections, the Philadelphia Eagles have little roster competition entering training camp.

Much will be made regarding the starting quarterback job, but despite Nick Foles’ heroics in Super Bowl LII Carson Wentz will be the starter, when healthy. There will be competition regarding the number three quarterback, and potential opening night backup to Foles.

Most of the competition will be on defense and special teams with the departures of Patrick Robinson, Donnie Jones, Danelle Ellerbe, Corey Graham, and Brent Celek.

Perhaps the largest spotlight will be on cornerback with a slew of young talent ready to compete for starting jobs.

Here are the five roster battles to watch for the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
