5th Round:  Dane Cruikshank (S, Arizona) – C+

It’s clear that Tennessee is placing a greater emphasis on speed and athleticism in the secondary moving forward. That helps explain the Cruikshank selection. While he is far from a polished prospect, he proved throughout the predraft that he’s a big safety with blue chip athletic traits. The kind that can make him an All-Pro if he ever figures out the mental side of the game. This is where the coaching abilities of Dean Pees and Mike Vrabel will become crucial. The kid has the tools. He needs the education.

6th Round:  Luke Falk (QB, Washington State) – A

It’s known that he comes from a spread system and had some injury issues. Yet he thrived in the first and battled through the second to remain one of the top passers in college football. He’s also arguably the most natural passer in terms of accuracy in the entire class. He can be a starter in the NFL, especially as more and more concepts of the spread offense seep in. If he’s healthy the Titans got a tremendous backup for Mariota and perhaps a spot starter in case he gets hurt again. At a 6th round cost, that’s tremendous.
