2nd Round:  Christian Kirk (WR, Texas A&M) – A

This was probably the best value pick of the draft for Arizona. With Larry Fitzgerald on his last legs, they absolutely had to find a target that could grow with Rosen in the future. Christian Kirk gets overlooked because of his size but that’s proven a mistake so many times in the past. The kid is electric with the ball in his hands. He can be a deep threat but is also quick and agile with a reliable pair of hands. Find ways to get him in space and he’ll do so much damage.

3rd Round:  Mason Cole (C, Michigan) – B

It’s clear there was a step-by-step plan in place for the Cardinals here, and that’s a good thing. Get the quarterback. Find him a weapon. Now get him some protection. Rosen had his concussion issues because of poor blocking. Mason Cole isn’t much to look at in terms of burly power but the guy is a battler and solid athlete. As he continues to hone his technique, he’ll be able to better handle power rushers which was a persistent issue at Michigan. He may not start immediately but he will sooner or later and should be a solid presence moving forward.
