The 1st round was crazy, as predicted. Now the 2018 NFL mock draft shifts to the 2nd round, where many believe it could get even crazier.

It will be the Browns and Colts who determine the action here as both hold two 2nd rounders in the top six picks. There could be some serious trade action. Then again with the wealth of talent still available, there could just as easily be none at all. That said, here’s a quick mock of every pick as they stand going into Day 2.

33. Cleveland Browns

RB. LSU. Derrius Guice . 33. player. 53. They didn’t land Saquon Barkley but in a loaded running back class, the Browns still managed to find their starter. Derrius Guice may not be the pure athlete Barkley is but many think he’s the more natural runner.

34. New York Giants

OG. UTEP. Will Hernandez . 34. player. 31. By drafting Saquon Barkley, GM Dave Gettleman is making it clear he wants to get the New York Giants back to their old ways. That means pounding the football on the ground and controlling the clock. Will Hernandez is a beast in the run game with frightening power and underrated feet.

35. Cleveland Browns (via HOU)

DT. Michigan. Maurice Hurst . 35. player. 53. The Cleveland Browns have their edge man in Myles Garrett. Trading Danny Shelton signaled they want to get more dynamic in the middle. Maurice Hurst can fit that Aaron Donald role in the Gregg Williams defense, somebody who can bring a fierce rush in the interior to pull blockers in.

36. Indianapolis Colts

USC. Ronald Jones . 36. player. 46. Adding Quenton Nelson gave the Colts offense so much more punch in an instant and serves to help Andrew Luck. Now what they need is a running back who can continue to make his life easier. Ronald Jones is a solid all-around back but is particularly adept as a receiver out of the backfield.. RB
