17. Los Angeles Chargers

Florida State. Derwin James . 17. player. 13. People likely knocked on Derwin James because he’s not the quickest in coverage, which can sometimes be a problem. This overshadows his clear intelligence, leadership and superb capability around the line of scrimmage. Giving him to Gus Bradley was a mistake by the league. Grade: A. S

18. Green Bay Packers

18. player. 49. It’s hard to fault the Packers here. Their corner position has become a glaring weakness the past couple years. If they want to continue running a 3-4, that can’t remain the case. Jaire Alexander can be special in coverage, but he has definite health risks that come with him. Grade: B-. CB. Louisville. Jaire Alexander

19. Dallas Cowboys

Leighton Vander Esch . 19. player. 123. There’s no question that Leighton Vander Esch is a fascinating talent at linebacker. No doubt Rod Marinelli saw visions of Brian Urlacher on tape with his size-speed combination. At the same time, lingering issues at wide receiver and tight end now threaten to haunt them all year. Grade: B. ILB. Boise State

20. Detroit Lions

C. Arkansas. Frank Ragnow . 20. player. 50. Running back was a popular option here but the Detroit Lions were wise to their real problem. They absolutely needed more help on the offensive line. Frank Ragnow brings plenty of beef to the middle. He’s a strong run blocker but quick on his feet and plenty experienced. Grade: B+
