Redskins See Patience Pay Off in Final Mock Draft
By Craig Stofko
I like what the Redskins have put together at the WR position. Josh Doctson is due for a breakout year. Jamison Crowder is very good, and Paul Richardson brings that blazing speed needed to keep defenses honest.
As backups, Mo Harris has never dropped a pass in his life and Robert Davis and Brian Quick, both 6’3 218, represent red zone targets that are crucial to offensive success in today’s NFL.
This is an impressive group, but to this point, the optimism is based on potential rather than production. This pick would be an excellent time to take another big red zone target. Wims is another 6’3 218 pound WR with speed and is an excellent blocker. The Redskins won a Super Bowl with a wide receiving corp nicknamed the Smurfs.
I’m not sure what to call a WR group that would boast three 6’3 218 pound receivers. Suffice to say, Alex Smith would probably be calling their numbers a lot, especially in the red zone.
