4th round, 113th overall: Dante Pettis, WR, Washington

5th round, 160th overall: Tyler Conklin, TE, Central Michigan

More from NFL Mocks

In rounds 4-5, the Broncos are looking for players that can add depth on both sides of the ball, as well as provide value on special teams.

Pettis in round four can certainly provide the special teams value, as he was one of the most prolific return men in Pac 12 history.

Conklin is sort of an all-around tight end who played through injury this past season, and has some pass catching ability as well as a willingness to block.

DRAFT RECAP

1st round, 9th overall (from SF): Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA
1st round, 22nd overall (from BUF): Will Hernandez, OG, UTEP
2nd round, 40th overall: Anthony Averett, CB, Alabama
2nd round, 56th overall (from BUF): Josh Sweat, EDGE, Florida State
3rd round, 96th overall (from BUF): Josey Jewell, LB, Iowa
3rd round, 99th overall: John Kelly, RB, Tennessee
4th round, 113th overall: Dante Pettis, WR/PR, Washington
5th round, 160th overall: Tyler Conklin, TE, Central Michigan

This could be something of an ‘ideal’ scenario for the Broncos, accumulating picks, picking twice in the first round, and also getting a QB of the future.

It might seem far fetched but we’ve seen crazier things happen on draft weekend.
