First Round, Part 2

I think one player the Broncos would really like to get, but can’t because of draft positioning, is UTEP guard Will Hernandez.

Hernandez played under Sean Kugler the past four years at UTEP, and Kugler is now the Broncos’ interior linemen coach.

This is a player I think the Broncos covet, and he showed at the Senior Bowl exactly why he’s considered one of the top interior prospects in the draft.

This would mean, for the second consecutive year, the Broncos would have spent a first round pick on an offensive lineman.

Couple that with the investment they made in Ron Leary, the investment they’ve yet to make in Matt Paradis, and the trade for Jared Veldheer, and this could be one of the most improved units in the NFL in 2018.
