The New York Jets traded up in the 2018 NFL Draft and are going to be selecting a franchise quarterback. Who will be handed the keys to the team?

The New York Jets have already done the difficult task of trading up in the 2018 NFL Draft, moving up three spots and swapping places with the Indianapolis Colts.

The Jets’ move up to the top three of the Draft did not come without a significant cost, but at this point, the cost of moving up means nothing in comparison to the decision that is about to be made with that pick.

Just two weeks away from the 2018 NFL Draft, the Jets are potentially the third out of three teams that will be picking a quarterback in the top three selections.

It would provide us with a scenario we have not seen play out since the 1999 NFL Draft, when Tim Couch, Donovan McNabb, and Akili Smith went 1-2-3 to the Browns, Eagles, and Bengals.

The Jets need to get this decision right, as if that weren’t obvious enough already. They moved up for one of a couple of possible reasons. They either know who the Browns and Giants are picking, and are happily swooping in to take whatever is left, or they are completely okay getting one of the top three quarterbacks in this draft, regardless if it is Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, Baker Mayfield, or Josh Allen.

What will the Jets do? Let’s take a look at what their top three picks could look like now that they have traded up and appear poised to take a quarterback…
