21. Cincinnati Bengals (from Bills): Taven Bryan, DL, Florida

Despite being preoccupied at the NFL owner’s meetings, Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis took time out of his schedule to go to the Florida Gators’ pro day and watch Taven Bryan work out.

There are obviously other players there, but there’s no doubt about who scouts and coaches and executives wanted to see the most.

Bryan is an exceptional athlete with great burst off the snap, and a relentless motor. He would give the Bengals a nice bookend to fellow former Gator Carlos Dunlap on the defensive line.

22. Buffalo Bills (from Chiefs): Will Hernandez, OG, UTEP

The Buffalo Bills were initially projected to take a cornerback when I was putting this mock draft together, but the recent news of Richie Incognito’s impending retirement has sort of put them in a position where they have to take a lineman.

Thankfully, there are some great ones on the board, and Will Hernandez would be a tremendous replacement for Incognito at left guard.

Hernandez is technically sound, physically dominant, and as athletic as you could ask for at the guard position. He was dominant at the Senior Bowl after a dominant collegiate career, and I would consider him to be one of the safest, surest picks in this year’s draft class.

23. New England Patriots (from Rams): Harold Landry, DE/LB, Boston College

The New England Patriots acquired this pick from the Rams in the Brandin Cooks trade, and they have a number of needs to address.

Not the least of which is their need for pass rushers, and local product Harold Landry of Boston College could really endear himself to Bill Belichick.

Landry is an explosive rusher and the Patriots are clearly interested in him, sending their defensive line coach Brendan Daly to work him out at the Boston College pro day.

Landry would be a great value and fill a need for the Pats here in round one.

24. Carolina Panthers: Jaire Alexander, CB, Louisville

The Panthers have been working to improve their defense this offseason, signing Dontari Poe after the departure of Star Lotulelei, and adding Da’Norris Searcy from the Titans to potentially start for them at one of the safety positions.

That said, I think they still have some work to do in the secondary, as they gave up on Daryl Worley and traded him to the Eagles.

Jaire Alexander was injured most of this past season, but he’s a phenomenal  talent with big time speed who could jump right in to the Panthers’ starting lineup and make an impact.

25. Tennessee Titans: Isaiah Wynn, OL, Georgia

The Titans’ offensive line has played incredibly well over the past few years, but their guard position could stand to be upgraded.

Isaiah Wynn was an absolute stud for the Georgia Bulldogs, playing the left tackle position at 6-foot-3.

That’s borderline unheard of.

Wynn’s dominance at tackle but overall size have led many to believe he will make a quick and successful transition to guard in the NFL, and I think he’d be perfect for the physical type of offense the Titans will have with Derrick Henry and Dion Lewis leading the way.
