3. Brian O’Neill, OT, Pittsburgh

Brian O’Neill is a former tight end who struggled a little bit at the Senior Bowl, but absolutely shined on the field at the Scouting Combine.

O’Neill had the fastest 40-yard dash among offensive linemen at 4.80 seconds flat, proving what we’d seen on tape that he is an absolute athletic freak.

He also had a 7.17 second three-cone drill, which puts him in rare air for offensive linemen. Some receivers would like to be able to post that kind of time.

At 6-foot-7, 296 pounds, this guy might get some looks at tight end in the NFL after all, though he will obviously develop more and more at the tackle position, where he has huge upside.

With this kind of athletic ability, it’s hard not to be excited about what he can become.
