Arizona Cardinals 2018 NFL Mock Draft: Finding the future
What can the Arizona Cardinals do with so little capital in the 2018 NFL Draft?
Head coach Bruce Arians and quarterback Carson Palmer, possibly the two most important members of the Arizona Cardinals organization, walked away from the game this offseason. Their departure leaves major holes on and off the field and general manager Steve Keim has the task of a lifetime to replace their presence.
Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald will reportedly return for another season according to new head coach Steve Wilks, saving the Cardinals another voice to replace.
However, the Cardinals have just four picks in the 2018 NFL Draft after trading up in the 2017 draft for Budda Baker and acquiring Adrian Peterson from New Orleans.
Holding the 15th, 47th, 79th, and an undetermined seventh round pick the Cardinals have to manage this offseason as best they can with limited assets. In addition, the Cardinals have just $22.5 million in cap space, although the cap savings involved with Adrian Peterson and Phil Dawson could open up a couple million dollars more.
Nineteen Cardinals players, among the most in the league, will be unrestricted free agents this offseason, including John Brown, Alex Boone, Justin Bethel, Tyvon Branch, and Troy Niklas.
Here’s how the 2018 NFL Draft could shake up for the Arizona Cardinals.
