New York Giants:  Pat Shurmur

It’s been quite the redemption story in Minnesota over the past year. Most people will say that about quarterback Case Keenum who went from unfortunate failed experiment to biggest comeback story heading into the NFC championship. Yet the same is true for his offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur. He was a rising star a few years back but saw his first chance at grabbing the brass ring ended in disaster after two seasons with the Cleveland Browns.

That is certainly in the back of peoples’ minds but the fact remains Shurmur has had untold success since that as a coordinator. He’s earned this second chance. No doubt the New York Giants have a plan with him. Not only can he possibly squeeze a couple good seasons out of an aging Eli Manning. He is also in position to develop their next young star based on whomever they choose with the #2 overall pick. The question is can he build a staff this time? Something that plagued him in Cleveland.
