Georgia Offense

Sony Michel, RB (no. 1)

Sony Michel put his full skillset on display in the first playoff game against Oklahoma, showing off his ability to catch passes out of the backfield as well as make explosive plays in the running game.

If it feels like every time Michel touches the ball it goes for a big gain, it’s because it does.

He averages 9.5 yards per touch this season, and has racked up 17 total touchdowns (16 rushing, 1 receiving). In Georgia’s playoff win over Oklahoma, he reminded me some of Alvin Kamara with his quickness, explosiveness, all-around ability, and how tough it was to tackle him.

Nick Chubb, RB (no. 27)

Nick Chubb has been a star since he stepped on campus at Georgia, and is an absolute marvel for the fact that he’s still playing football after a gruesome leg injury a couple of years ago.

Chubb is Georgia’s leading rusher and averages 6.5 yards per carry with 15 rushing touchdowns this season.

Chubb is very tough to bring down on initial contact because of his 5-foot-10, 225 pound frame, and the fact that he is extremely explosive at that size.

His rare combination of size and burst along with his vision as a back make him an ideal featured back at the next level. I love watching this guy play.

Javon Wims, WR (no. 6)

Javon Wims has really emerged this season as a legitimate NFL prospect with his size, catch radius, and really well-rounded game overall.

He’s capable of winning at the line of scrimmage as well as in jump ball situations and I think he’s only scratching the surface of his potential.

It’s easy for receivers in this game to get lost because of how good each team’s running game is, but Wims and Calvin Ridley can both play and will both be very good in the NFL, in my opinion.

Isaiah Wynn, OT/OG (no. 77)

Isaiah Wynn is Georgia’s left tackle, and a very good one at that.

The second-team All-American and first-team All-SEC selection has been springing his running backs for big gains all season, and has been stellar all season, but because he’s only 6-foot-2, 302 pounds, most project him as a guard at the next level.

Wynn is obviously very physical and would work well kicking inside to guard, which we’re likely to see in Mobile at the 2018 Senior Bowl.
