A former tight end prospect, O’Neill moved to the tackle position and became an all-conference performer while still showing the athleticism and speed to score touchdowns as a receiver.
No, seriously.
O’Neill isn’t getting any real first round hype right now, because this is a deep class of tackles and he may be more of a project than many other guys, but he’s a very intriguing player with athleticism, good feet, and obviously is a quick learner.
I am excited to see O’Neill’s athleticism on display in one-on-one drills against speed edge players, and how he handles power rushes as well.
He could put himself in the top four or five tackles in this year’s draft class (very deep at tackle) with a big performance at the Senior Bowl.
