At the 2018 Senior Bowl, prospects have a chance to see their NFL Draft stock soar. Josh Allen and four others lead our top five with the most to gain…

Which players have the most to gain from playing in the 2018 Senior Bowl?

With Wyoming’s Josh Allen finally accepting his invitation to play and participate in the festivities as a fourth-year junior, I thought I would take a look through the star-studded guest list and pick the five players who have an opportunity to really boost their NFL Draft stock.

Let’s start with Allen…

Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming

Now that Allen has officially accepted his invitation to play at the 2018 Senior Bowl, I think it’s safe to say that no player will be under more scrutiny in Mobile.

There could be a debate had about whether the focus will be on Allen or Heisman winner Baker Mayfield, but Allen has way more to prove at this point.

When you watch Allen in this game against Central Michigan, it’s really a microcosm of what makes him such a polarizing prospect. There are bad overthrows, and there are incredible, on-the-money, on a rope throws, including his first touchdown pass of the game.

Allen also shows the ability to put some touch on the ball and drop it into a bucket downfield. NFL scouts love Allen for his athleticism and arm talent, and this game against Central Michigan was really the first time I’d seen him show that NFL-caliber competitive fire I’ve been waiting for all year.

Allen has a chance at the Senior Bowl to prove he can rise to the occasion against the best competition he will have ever faced. If he can excel in Senior Bowl week, he may prove why some have him currently projected as the top pick in the draft.
