Multiple first round picks in the 2018 NFL Draft made their decisions on Thursday to forgo their college eligibility

With only a couple of weeks remaining for college players to declare for the 2018 NFL Draft more stars are making their official decisions. One day after top quarterbacks Josh Rosen and Sam Darnold made their decisions 10 more players made their official announcements.

A couple of the players who announced are potential first-round picks, while others will fight to be drafted on day three.

Here is the official list of players who declared, courtesy of Twitter and Rotoworld.

  1. Mark Andrews, TE, Stanford
  2. Arden Key, DE, LSU
  3. Equanimous St. Brown, WR, Notre Dame
  4. Josh Sweat, DE, Florida State
  5. Harrison Phillips, DL, Stanford
  6. Sam Jones, OL, Arizona State
  7. Dorance Armstrong, DE, Kansas
  8. Tim Settle, DL, Virginia Tech
  9. Jeffery Holland, LB, Auburn
  10. Jordan Lasley, WR, UCLA

Of that group Key, Andrews, St. Brown, and Sweat project to be drafted no later than the second round. Andrews will likely be the first tight end drafted unless Penn State’s Mike Gesicki explodes at the NFL Combine or Senior Bowl.

Key and Sweat are among the best pass rushers in this years draft, but only Key is set to be a first round pick. Sweat recorded 14.5 sacks in his three-year career with the Seminoles before forgoing his final season.

St. Brown was among the top wide receivers in this class before the start of the season. Coming off a nine touchdown season with the Fighting Irish, St. Brown took a step back scoring.

Armstrong is in a similar situation after managing double-digit sacks for the Jayhawks and only collecting two last year.

Settle and Holland saw an uptick in production in 2017 setting career-highs in sacks and tackles for losses. Lasley was one of Josh Rosen’s favorite targets at UCLA last season with 1,200 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
