2018 NFL Draft: Roquan Smith, Baker Mayfield, others stand out
Nick Chubb, Running Back, Georgia
The fact that Nick Chubb is still playing football boggles my mind.
His leg injury was as gruesome as they come, and I for one admire this guy for his perseverance.
He’s not lost a step, either. Chubb can still dominate games with big plays and power, and he proved that against Oklahoma.
I still don’t understand how he scored on this play…
Chubb has been excellent all season for the Bulldogs, and just eclipsed the 200 carry mark this season in the game against Oklahoma. He averaged over 10 yards per carry in this game, and finished with his fifth multi-touchdown game of the season.
The impressive consistency from Chubb is even more so when you consider he’s not really even being used as a receiver — which he could be — because of how good Sony Michel is. These guys compliment each other really well, and I love Chubb’s overall game at the next level.
He’s deceptively fast for his size (bruising, 225 pound back) and has the big play ability you want in a player that can also grind out tough yards between the tackles.
I think Sony Michel will be drafted before Chubb, but I think an NFL team is going to get a starting running back in this guy.
