2018 NFL Draft: Roquan Smith, Baker Mayfield, others stand out

It would have been nearly impossible to top last year’s stellar Rose Bowl featuring USC and Penn State, but the Georgia-Oklahoma encore in 2018 may very well have done it.

Led by a whole host of top 2018 NFL Draft prospects, and many other players that will eventually be top draft picks as well, this game lived up to the hype and then some.

Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfild and Bednarik Award winner Roquan Smith led the way as two potential top 10 picks playing in this game, and both guys put on a show.

Oklahoma led big after the first half, but Georgia came out smelling blood in the water in the second half, and played lights out football, forcing overtime and blocking a field goal attempt on Oklahoma’s second possession.

Sony Michel, a star running back and big time NFL prospect, sealed the win for Georgia and their trip to the National Title game with his touchdown run in the second overtime period.

The stars were out in this game, and NFL Draft fans were treated to a game full of great performances by promising young players. Let’s take a look at how each of these guys did in one of the most entertaining games in football this past season.
