Denver Broncos

We all know John Elway doesn’t like to lose.

We also know that Elway is much better at signing quarterbacks than he is at drafting them.

That doesn’t mean the Broncos will ignore quarterbacks in this year’s draft, but I think Elway will do whatever he can to fix this team’s primary weakness, no matter the cost.

That is why I’m predicting the Denver Broncos will be the team that lands Kirk Cousins in free agency.

This Broncos team has always done well with veteran quarterbacks coming over from other teams, and Cousins would likely be no different. The Broncos are just another piece or two away on the offensive line, and they have a top flight defense to support Cousins on weeks where he can’t lift the team himself.

Cousins is going to be interesting to watch this offseason, as he will likely command a hefty annual salary, but the Broncos have the finances to make it work and multiple reports out of Denver already indicate that this could be their top priority this offseason.

If the Broncos sign Cousins, I also expect them to draft a quarterback in the mid-rounds, perhaps someone like Mason Rudolph, Kurt Benkert, or Kyle Lauletta.
