2017 NFL Week 13: Quick Takeaways From Every Game

The Mike McCarthy haters have no leg to stand on
Back in 2013 the Packers lost Aaron Rodgers to a broken collar bone. After a brief down period they rallied in time for him to return and get to the playoffs. Now Green Bay is on the cusp of doing it again and the man leading the way is their head coach Mike McCarthy. Every year this team seems to falter and every year they find a way to rally. It’s time to give that man some respect.
Jimmy Garoppolo and Kyle Shanahan will be a good match
Kyle Shanahan has proven he can be good with even average quarterbacks if given the time. So provide him with a quality talent like Jimmy Garoppolo (a former 2nd round pick) and it was bound to create exciting times in the Bay Area. San Francisco got another good performance from their young quarterback. With enough time that team is going to threaten in an already stacked division.
Matt Nagy and Jack Del Rio are going in opposite directions
For the second-straight week Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy handled play calling duties and once again he got great production from his unit. Suddenly his head coaching buzz is on the rise. Meanwhile the star of Jack Del Rio is falling fast. The regression of Derek Carr along with the failures on defense aren’t a good look for him. He may not survive to see next season.
