Jim Bob Cooter has had his hand in the peak success of two notable quarterbacks over the past four years. In 2013 he helped Peyton Manning set every record in the book including 55 touchdown passes. Since taking over as offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions, Matthew Stafford has emerged from pure stat machine to genuine franchise quarterback. Though Cooter is still quite young and has his fair share of question marks regarding his offense in general, the fact is he’s proven he can at least get the best performance from a quarterback.. OC. Considering the amount of talent on the roster and where expectations were a few months ago, the New York Jets have greatly overachieved in 2017.
