It’s been a frustrating season for the Dallas Cowboys thus far, one that has seen their weaknesses exploited each week. They’ll look to rectify that in the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft.

The Dallas Cowboys have, thus far, experienced a season they’d like to forget soon. They’ve had impressive victories over the Chiefs and Redskins that shouldn’t be overlooked. However, close losses to both the Rams and the Packers in consecutive weeks, along with devastating beatdowns by the Falcons and Eagles have become the highlights of the season.

Injuries have played a major part in the decline from the 13-3 record the Cowboys enjoyed a season ago. Offensive tackle Tyron Smith and linebacker Sean Lee, two All-Pro players and leaders of this team, have missed multiple games. Pro Bowl kicker Dan Bailey missed time due to a strained groin. Throw in the suspension of Ezekiel Elliott, and it’s easy to see why this team is taking a slide. Dak Prescott hasn’t looked the same the last few weeks, and it’s hurt the offense, as they’ve been outscored 64-16 over their last two games combined.

While it’s been a frustrating season, it’s allowed the team to recognize weaknesses that can be strengthened when preparing for next season. Depth along the offensive line is a must. They’ll need to add a linebacker (or two). In this day and age, you can never have too many cornerbacks. All things the Cowboys will have to consider.
