2018 NFL Draft Prospects Who Must Step Up in Week 13

Kyle Hicks (RB – TCU) vs. Baylor

TCU is 8-2 on the season and Baylor is just 1-10, but don’t expect the Horned Frogs to take this game lightly. Especially considering all of the uncertainty as to who is healthy enough to contribute on offense. Quarterbacks Kenny Hill and Shawn Robinson are both battling injuries and leading rusher Darius Anderson has been ruled out until at least the Horned Frogs bowl game. One player who is healthy is running back Kyle Hicks. He’ll be the workhorse in this game and needs a solid performance to enhance his 2018 NFL Draft stock.

Hicks was expected to have a big season, however injuries have limited his snaps. He carried the ball a season-high 22 times last week and will see a similar workload against the Bears. Hicks is a solid weapon out of the backfield and his receiving ability will cause problems for the Baylor linebackers. In a game that heavily favors one side, turnovers can be an equalizer. As long as TCU feeds Hicks, that shouldn’t be an issue. The senior has only fumbled once on 511 career touches.

The versatility and ball security displayed by Hicks will earn him a look at the next level, but his athletic ability is what will get him drafted. Showcasing that athleticism down the stretch will warrant a bump in his 2018 NFL Draft stock. Once again the lead back at TCU, expect a big day from Kyle Hicks as the Horned Frogs look to setup a rematch with Oklahoma for the Big 12 championship.
