The Chicago Bears have something cooking on their roster with an assortment of young talent on both offense and defense. Still, it feels incomplete.

GM Ryan Pace knew he’d have to stack good drafts on top of each other if he was going to make this team competitive again. By the look of things the 2016 and 2017 classes look promising. Could one more end up pushing them over the top? That’s certainly the hope. What it comes down to is finding the right pieces. To that end here are some names who continue to gain steam in the scouting community and might look awfully good in navy and orange.

Anthony Miller (WR, Memphis)

Are there fans of Antonio Brown reading this? If so than it’s a fair chance that Anthony Miller will get those same juices flowing. Watch this kid long enough and similarities start to creep in:  the lightning quick feet, the athleticism, the speed, the agility and the knack for getting himself open. He’s undersized sure but size doesn’t mean as much as it used to in the NFL. Miller is what defenses call “a problem” with the ball in his hands.

Orlando Brown (OT, Oklahoma)

The offensive line has to be in the back of Ryan Pace’s mind. It hasn’t been as strong this season as last. Injuries are a big part of that, but it also has age concerns too. Not to mention they’re still average at best on the edges. If they wish to remain a physical team that likes to run the ball, then they would love Orlando Brown. The hulking Oklahoma tackle is a road grader with all sorts of mass and power. This makes it easy to overlook how quick-footed he is for such a big guy. He would be an upgrade over Bobby Massie at right tackle.

Marquis Haynes (OLB, Ole Miss)

As time goes on it’s clear the Bears are a one-man show at edge rusher. When Leonard Floyd isn’t getting pressure, nobody else can aside from the occasional Pernell McPhee sighting. They have no secondary rusher who can get consistent heat. Marquis Haynes has to be one of the most exciting in what looks like a strong class. He has a lightning fast first step, bend, athleticism and surprising power despite average size. At one point this year he had seven sacks in five games. Put his speed across from Floyd and suddenly offenses won’t be able to leave tackles alone on the edges anymore.
