2018 NFL Draft Prospects Who Must Step Up in Week 12
Troy Fumagalli (TE – Wisconsin) vs. Michigan
In what is the Badgers final major hurdle in their quest for an undefeated regular season, Wisconsin will host the Michigan Wolverines in Madison. While running back Jonathan Taylor has been the focal point of the Wisconsin offense this season, Michigan has the defensive front seven to force Wisconsin to throw the ball more than the Badgers would like. As a result, look for Troy Fumagalli, a top-five tight end prospect for the 2018 NFL Draft to see plenty of passes thrown his way.

Fumagalli leads the way with 33 receptions and ranks second on the team with 422 yards and three touchdowns through the air. However, he’s fallen off the pace he set early in the season and is no longer the top target in the passing game. That needs to change if Wisconsin is going to knock off Michigan and remain unbeaten.
Michigan won this matchup 14-7 last year, holding Fumagalli to just two catches for 12 yards. Much like last season’s battle between these two teams, points will be few and far between. Even if the run game keeps the chains moving, the Badgers will be forced to throw the ball in the red zone. That’s precisely where the 6-foot-6 senior tight end comes into play. Fumagalli possesses the athletic ability and the hands to come away with a jump ball or two in the end zone.
