2018 NFL Draft order update for non-playoff teams
2018 NFL Draft order update for non-playoff teams. Who were the big movers after week eight of the NFL season? Who is sneaking in the top 10?
We’re almost halfway through the 2017 NFL season, which means a look at the 2018 NFL Draft order is in order.
There’s plenty of time for teams to turn things around, and there’s also plenty of time for things to nosedive out of the playoff race. With that being said, some aspects of this order might not change a whole heck of a lot from now until the end of the 2017 season, given how poorly some of these teams have played.
Right now, the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers are the two worst teams in the league, both without a win. Because of the strength of each team’s schedule, the Browns currently hold the top pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Let’s take a look at the full order of non-playoff teams as things currently stand:
1. Cleveland Browns
2. San Francisco 49ers
3. New York Giants
4. Indianapolis Colts
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
6. New York Jets
7. Oakland Raiders
8. Los Angeles Chargers
9. Chicago Bears
10. Arizona Cardinals
11. Cincinnati Bengals
12. Denver Broncos
13. Cleveland Browns (from Houston)
14. Detroit Lions
15. Washington Redskins
16. Baltimore Ravens
17. Dallas Cowboys
18. Tennessee Titans
19. Atlanta Falcons
20. Green Bay Packers

There are a couple of surprises on this list, namely the Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers picking in consecutive spots within the top 10. I don’t think anyone saw that coming at this point in the season, especially for the Raiders.
The Chargers have been in pretty much every game they’ve played, but have struggled closing out some of their close ones. They could easily be leading the AFC West at this point.
The reigning NFC champion Atlanta Falcons are 4-3, and in a very close race there in the NFC South, which has three teams that are 4-3 or better.
You’ll also note that not on this list are the Jacksonville Jaguars, who currently lead the AFC South. They are locked in a tight race with the Tennessee Titans, each at 4-3, but are usually a mainstay here in the top 20 — even top 10 — selections.
We’ll see how much shifting around happens between now and Monday night next week, but for now, there are your top 20 picks in the 2018 NFL Draft and also the top 20 teams in terms of waiver priority.
