5th Round

K. Auburn. Daniel Carlson . 5. player. 57. How the Bears can continue to justify keeping Connor Barth employed is beyond baffling. He missed another make-able field goal in New Orleans under perfect conditions. He’s 7-of-11 this year, on track to miss eight total in 2017. That is just not an acceptable rate. They need a new leg. Daniel Carlson is looking like one of the most promising next year. He’s an experienced and battle-tested kicker with a desirable mix of power and accuracy.

6th Round

Tennessee. Kahlil McKenzie . 6. player. 57. Eddie Goldman has been tremendous for the Bears at nose tackle, living up to the promise he showed the past couple years. Odds are he will firmly remain the starter moving forward. He’s not the problem. The depth behind him is. In essence the Bears are relying on John Jenkins, a journeyman free agent to fill the void if Goldman goes down. Kahlil McKenzie has shown he can occupy this role well with is size and natural power. Provided he stays healthy, like Goldman.. NT
