The Chicago Bears won their second game of the season but that game didn’t do anything to alter their NFL draft plans for 2018.

The same problems that were there the week before are still there. Odds are unless a considerable trade is made within the next two weeks they’re going to be there at seasons’ end. This is still an imperfect roster. It’s a lot better from where it was in 2015 but there is work left to do. Next year could be the defining moment for GM Ryan Pace in this rebuild. What can he do to pull it off?

1st Round (via SEA)

player. 57. The Bears may have to get creative if they want overhaul their wide receiver position in one offseason. That is exactly what Ryan Pace does here. He swings a daring trade with Seattle, always a team willing to move up. In it he moves back 14 spaces but in return gets two solid extra draft picks and also receiver Tyler Lockett. Though his stats don’t show it, Lockett is a speedy playmaker both on offense and special teams. <p>Then before anybody has a chance to digest what just happened, the Bears hit the receiving position again. Where Lockett brings the speed and agility, Courtland Sutton will bring the size. The 6’3″ receiver out of SMU plays up to it with good body control, strength and solid hands. He’s not slow, able to create some separation in his routes. Together with Lockett and Cameron Meredith the offense looks to be in business.</p>. WR. SMU. Courtland Sutton . 1
