The 2017 NFL week 6 slate is a pretty good ones. Lots of intriguing matchups with plenty on the line for teams, including entire seasons.

Often from such games arise unlikely performances and results. That is why bold predictions have become so popular over the years. Crazy as they may initially sound. There have been numerous instances where they’ve come true. That’s why this latest slate can’t be laughed at. No matter how ludicrous they seem now, the actual games often take the crazy to new levels. Here are some things that fans should expect to happen in the next 12 hours.

Adam Shaheen breaks out in grand fashion vs. Ravens

To this point the 2017 tight end class has been rather quiet on the stat sheet. None more so than Chicago Bears 2nd round pick Adam Shaheen. He only has one catch to this point, a touchdown against Pittsburgh. It’s curious why the team hasn’t tried harder to get him the ball given his size and speed traits. Well expect that to change. Baltimore has had problems against opposing tight ends in recent weeks. Marcedes Lewis lit them up for three touchdowns. David Njoku caught a touchdown. Even Jesse James had a solid day for Pittsburgh against them. Shaheen will catch two touchdowns from his roommate Mitch Trubisky and go over 90 yards.

The Giants serve up a 50 burger with cheese

Things can’t be getting much worse for the New York Giants. Their offense is decimated by injuries and problems seem to be surfacing in the locker room between players and the coaching staff. It is not the ideal time for them to play a good football team like the Denver Broncos. At Mile High no less. This game is going to get ugly. Eli Manning has no weapons against arguably the best defense in the NFL and the Broncos offense is playing better than it has in years. Not only will New York get shut out, but they’ll also give up 50+ points.

Todd Gurley, Kareem Hunt, and Marshawn Lynch top 200 yards

It’s always about the matchups in the NFL and this week could be a series of bad ones for teams sporting bad run defenses. Todd Gurley faces the Jacksonville Jaguars who are 31st in the NFL. Kareem Hunt plays the Pittsburgh Steelers who are 28th and Beast Mode himself Marshawn Lynch faces the Chargers, who are dead last. Circumstances are lined up perfectly for all three of those men to have big days. In fact expect each of them to top 200 yards on the ground.

Jets stun the Patriots with an upset victory

Historically the Jets and Patriots rivalry has always been a bit wacky. For the most part Tom Brady has owned it during his career, but New York also is the only divisional opponent to beat him in the playoffs. The Jets always play them tough. Going into this game one can also say New York has the better defense while the Patriots defense is struggling. This feels like the ideal circumstances for a major upset. Yes Brady is still playing and that’s often decisive, but the Jets don’t fear him like others might.

Myles Garrett drops Deshaun Watson three times

There’s a good chance that rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson will continue his hot start in 2017 against another struggling defense. Cleveland hasn’t laid down like in years past but they don’t have the horses to hang with a loaded passing offense like the Houston Texans have. However, they do have something that can give Watson a major headache. That’s #1 overall pick Myles Garrett. After collecting two sacks in his debut last week, look for the pass rusher to top that with three more in Houston.
