If people are looking for what cowardice and being a terrible person is all about, this Carolina Panthers fan has cornered the market.

Thursday Night Football was a thrilling affair between the Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles. In the end it was the Eagles who came out on top 28-23 to push their record to 5-1. It was the sort of exciting game that should’ve had all the fans in attendance enthralled. Instead it led to some ugly violence. At least in one area.

A video has begun making the rounds. It shows a man in a Panthers jersey standing watching the game. According to the Instagram explanation he’d been doing so for the entire first half and much of the first quarter. At that point the man behind them, who couldn’t see, asked them to sit down. When they refused a heated argument broke out. That’s when the unnamed Panthers fan broke out the vicious name-calling before throwing a nasty punch and scurrying away.

Cowardly act has the man being hunted by security and police

The video has since made the rounds on social media. People are wondering if the man is going to be arrested and charged for the brazen act of violence. Word is that security officials at Panthers stadium are aware of the incident and are taking it seriously. It seems they’ve already found out who the man is.

No information has surfaced yet about an arrest but odds are the man will be facing charges both for the hate-filled tirade and of course the punch. As he should be. What level of punishment he encounters will depend on if the person he assaulted presses charges and the judge involved in the case. One thing is sure, football games have no room for stuff like this. People bring their children to these events.
