3. Carolina Panthers

Depending on what happens with star linebacker Luke Kuechly, the Panthers could be interested in a replacement in the form of the veteran Bowman.

Kuechly went down in the Panthers’ Thursday night loss to Philadelphia and was placed in concussion protocol.

If it was indeed a concussion, it will have been Kuechly’s third (reported) such injury in the past three seasons.

That’s not good, and possibly career-threatening.

If the Panthers shut Kuechly down for the season, trading for Bowman would have to be on the table. Their defense is going to be key for this team making a playoff run this season, and they can’t afford a huge drop off without Kuechly in the lineup.
