The Chicago Bears have a crisis brewing at quarterback which needs sorting out. Outside of that though they still have roster holes to plug up.

Everybody knew this was going to be a rebuild but nobody is ever truly ready for the lows it can reach. Losing badly to the Packers yet again was a stiff reminder of how far they still have to go. There’s reason for hope though. Things are improved. Good QB play can get them headed in the right direction. That means one more push in 2018 might get them over the top. Here’s the latest way they could possibly pull it off.

1st Round

player. 57. Perhaps one of the bigger disappointments of 2017 thus far has been the quiet Bears pass rush. To be fair it hasn’t been terrible but certainly not as active as expected. Leonard Floyd didn’t get his first sack until the fourth game. Pernell McPhee has three over the past three weeks but his health is never something to bank on. This team still doesn’t have that definitive edge presence teams must respect. <p>Could Floyd still become that guy? Sure, but until then it behooves them to keep searching. Clelin Ferrell has emerged in a big way as one of the best pass rushers in the country. Leading a stacked Clemson defense, he’s displayed a red hot motor, length and explosion off the snap that’s making it impossible for tackles to contain him for long. Placed across from Floyd that could be a tandem NFL teams never want to see.</p>. OLB. Clemson. Clelin Ferrell . 1
