5th Round

5. player. 57. Dig around the draft community for long enough and the buzz on Antonio Callaway is pretty clear. Physically he’s a gifted athlete with tremendous speed, quickness, agility and hands. Some see him as the next Antonio Brown. He’s a 1st round talent. Problem is he has a reputation for hanging out with bad influences and earned suspensions for drug issues. Almost every time the Bears would never touch this guy, but given his talent and the fact he’s still on the board in the 5th round? It’s an acceptable risk. The locker room is strong enough at this point to incorporate one or two of these types in hopes of getting them straight.. WR. Florida. Antonio Callaway

6th Round

Florida. Eddie Pineiro . 6. player. 57. People were eager to jump down the throat of Marcus Cooper for his field goal return gaffe against Pittsburgh, and rightfully so. However, they so easily forgot that kicker Connor Barth missed yet another field goal. It’s an ongoing thing with him. He’s decent from inside 40. Beyond it? Little chance. This team badly needs help in the kicking game. Eddie Pineiro has developed a reputation at Florida for being one of the best long distance kickers in college. He’s consistently good from beyond 50 and is strong under pressure making kicks that his team absolutely has to have given offensive issues with scoring.. K

7th Round

7. player. 57. The injury problems persist for the Bears at inside linebacker. Last year it was Danny Trevathan. This year it’s Jerrell Freeman and Nick Kwiatkoski. It’s a persistent problem that the team has to juggle with. So it wouldn’t be surprising if they chose to bolster that position with another body. Khalil Hodge may come from a smaller program at Buffalo, but so did Khalil Mack so don’t judge. Want an idea of how often this kid is around the ball? In four games so far in 2017, he has 51 tackles and a forced fumble. He plays fast and aggressive downhill football as both a tackler and blitzer. He’s not natural in coverage but knows his responsibilities.. ILB. Buffalo. Khalil Hodge
