The Josh Rosen hype train continues to chug along for me, even though he was forced to throw a whopping 60 passes in this game, as UCLA simply couldn’t keep pace with Stanford  throughout.

I still feel, despite the high volume of passes and four interceptions over the past two weeks of play, that Rosen is the guy who best translates quickly to the next level. He has been working in a pro-style offense, and I think he’s shown the best ability thus far to read coverages and take advantage of opposing defenses.

Has he been flawless? No.

UCLA is a week one epic comeback away from having just one win on the season, a home game against Hawai’i.

Rosen spreads the ball around the field really well, taking advantages of holes in coverages and reading things before the snap. He will try to do too much at times, as many of these young quarterbacks do, but I think this kid is the real deal. He has the look of a number one pick, but teams will need to decide if his personality will mesh well at the next level with an NFL coach.
