I have been and continue to be a big fan of Baker Mayfield’s game throughout this process. Many don’t like the offense he plays in as it relates to his ability to translate to the next level, but there’s no question about this guy’s ability to manipulate defenses and make good decisions with the football.

Whether it’s on the move or in the pocket, Mayfield is capable of spreading the ball all over the field with accuracy. He knows how to get the ball down the field in a hurry, and continues completing passes at a high percentage rate.

There are times in this game where Mayfield does put too much air under the ball, or not enough. He’s not perfect in this game by any means, and neither is Oklahoma as a whole.

I love the way this guy competes, though. He doesn’t ever want a single play to die, and even though he’s capable of making the short-area throws and dinking and dunking down the field, he wants every play to end up being a touchdown if possible.

His aggressiveness can get the best of him at times, but I love seeing it like we did a couple of weeks ago against Ohio State.

This guy’s NFL stock is rising quite a bit from my perspective.
