Kareem Hunt headlines top NFL Rookies through week 2

3. Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings

Dalvin Cook already has the look of a veteran running back in the NFL. Should any of us really be surprised?

Cook was a second round pick due to some off-field concerns surrounding him, but on the field, he was a top 15 player in this past year’s draft.

Deal with it.

Cook has the highest run grade of any rookie back in the league, has forced seven missed tackles this season, and is averaging 5.6 yards per carry.

That’s exactly what the Vikings’ offense has needed to get some balance, because teams can no longer just pin their ears back and rush the quarterback. Even with Case Keenum as the quarterback, the Vikings can be competitive offensively because of the type of production they are getting already from Dalvin Cook.
