One of the highest graded rookies in the NFL by Pro Football Focus so far this season, the New England Patriots have a steal on their hands in former Arkansas Razorback Deatrich Wise.

Wise was selected in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft after he was labeled a ‘slow twitch’ player by some draft analysts.

Judging by the clip we see above, he’s certainly changed that narrative.

Wise looks incredibly explosive and is tied for the league lead among rookies with seven quarterback pressures. He’s getting into the backfield and has the versatility to play inside or outside, but is a perfect weakside defensive end for the Patriots’ defense.

The Patriots have had the ‘luxury’ of going up against two of the worst offensive lines in football to start the season, which means he’s taking advantage of the opportunities he’s being afforded.
