Gerald Everett, TE, Rams

One of my favorite sleepers in this past year’s draft, Gerald Everett is already making an impact with the Los Angeles Rams.

Everett has been a big play threat for the Rams, catching four deep ball targets already this season. This is the type of difference maker the Rams have been craving at the tight end position, and it looks like they have a stud on their hands:

With Everett’s ability to stretch the field, the Rams need to find ways to exploit the matchups they are given. Anytime he’s on the field, he’s a mismatch athletically, and he’s going to force the 49ers to keep linebackers in coverage or drop safeties back.

The more involved Everett is in the offense, the less opposing teams are going to be able to focus on the running game.

This kid has a chance on a big stage to make a major impact.
