Sammy Watkins, WR, Rams

In week one, the Los Angeles Rams’ offense was clicking, and a major reason why is because they added some firepower at the receiver positions.

Namely, they added a dynamic playmaker in former top draft choice Sammy Watkins, whose career in Buffalo was plagued by injuries. Watkins was dealt to the Rams where he joined former teammate Robert Woods to give Los Angeles a duo that could help young quarterback Jared Goff.

Watkins proved himself worthy of the price tag in a trade through two games, catching 100 percent of the passes he was targeted on. But through two games, he’s been targeted only seven times, including two targets this past week.

What gives?

The Rams need to find ways to exploit a weak secondary in San Francisco, and get Watkins the ball at least 8-10 times in this game. If they don’t, it could be a long day for them offensively.
