It’s looking more and more like the Chicago Bears will hold high position in the NFL draft for the third-consecutive year in April of 2018.

This is what rebuilds are all about. Despite several infusions of young talent, not everything goes according to plan. Injuries have hampered the 2015 class, especially 1st round pick Kevin White. The 2016 class was strong but can’t raise this Titanic on their own. Tarik Cohen and Eddie Jackson look like early hits from the 2017 group but the Bears refuse to play the crown jewel in Mitch Trubisky, instead riding it out on the shaky shoulders of Mike Glennon.

At 0-2 it doesn’t look like this team is fooling or scaring anybody. That means they’ll likely need another strong infusion of top talent before they’re ready. Hopefully they pull that off here, and it starts with a bold move by GM Ryan Pace.

player. 57. It’s the worst secret in the world that the Chicago Bears need wide receiver help. They need receiver help like California needs more rain. Alshon Jeffery left via free agency. Cameron Meredith and Kevin White suffered season ending injuries. The list of viable options has grown incredibly thin with Kendall Wright being the best of what they have left. With Mitch Trubisky looming, they have to find more talent.
Equanimeous St. Brown has made noise over the past two years at Notre Dame. Not only does he boast 6’4″ size, something quarterbacks love due to the wider catch radius. He also is noted for good speed and polished route running. This means in addition to being tall he also has a knack for getting separation from the coverage. Something most of the Bears receivers aren’t able to do at this point.
. WR. Notre Dame.
