Equanimeous St. Brown 2018 NFL Draft
CHESTNUT HILL, MA – SEPTEMBER 16: Kamrin Moore /

Stock Down: Offense

Equanimeous St. Brown (WR – Notre Dame): As the leading returning receiver for Notre Dame, big things were expected out of Equanimeous St. Brown. However he has completely disappeared from the offense over the past two games and was a non-factor against Boston College.

More from NFL Mocks

Slowing St. Brown was a priority for Boston College and it showed early on. The 6-foot-5 wideout saw a few double teams early as the focus for Notre Dame quickly shifted to the run game. Even late when the game was still close, St. Brown was on the sideline. In the end, he caught one pass for three yards.

The outlook for St. Brown doesn’t look bright as quarterback Brandon Wimbush appears to have better chemistry with Chris Finke and has had more success throwing to tight ends Alize Mack and Durham Smythe.

Josh Allen (QB – Wyoming): Entering the season, Wyoming quarterback was a candidate to be the first overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft. Just three weeks in and his stock has taken a major hit. He struggled in the season opener against Iowa, but his 9-for-24 performance against Oregon in week three was a new low.

Allen is known as one of the better deep-ball passers in college football, but the numbers tell a different story. Against the Ducks, he was 2-for-12 on passes thrown 10 yards beyond the line of scrimmage and failed to complete a pass on six attempts at least 20 yards downfield.

In three games against schools from a power five conference, Allen has completed 50 percent of his passes and just one touchdown compared to eight interceptions.

The play above is just one example of Allen’s inaccurate arm. Even when he wasn’t pressured, the junior struggled to remain poised and would attempt to make a highlight-reel, off-balance throw rather than slowing down and setting his feet. If he does declare for the 2018 NFL Draft, unless Wyoming draws one in a bowl game, his performance against Oregon will be his final game against a power five defense.

Connor Williams (OT – Texas): For the second time in three weeks, Connor Williams lands on this list. The Texas left tackle tore the meniscus and suffered a sprained MCL and PCL in his left knee in the Longhorns week three matchup against USC.

It’s unknown exactly how long Williams will be out, but he’s expected to miss the majority of the season, if not the remainder. Williams is ranked as one of, if not the top offensive tackle prospect eligible for the 2018 NFL Draft. Whether or not this injury leads to Williams returning to school next season will be one of the more intriguing storylines to follow as underclassmen begin to declare for the 2018 NFL Draft.
