Sean Payton

Speaking of overstaying your welcome, the Saints and Sean Payton have been rumored to be heading towards a divorce for years.

New Orleans hasn’t won a playoff game since 2014 and has endured three consecutive 7-9 seasons. Offensively the team continues to succeed behind Drew Brees, but defensively the Saints have been among the worst in football.

Dating back to 2014 the Saints defense have either finished worst or second to worst in yards allowed per play. It’s a weary group that never seems to improve no matter who is running the show.

Despite the Super Bowl ring and 94 wins Payton is likely changing his visor next season.
