2017 NFL Season Week 2: Quick Picks For Every Game
By Erik Lambert
Miami Dolphins @ Los Angeles Chargers
Like the Buccaneers, the Dolphins saw their first week postponed due to Irma. So they’re coming in off a prolonged layoff as well. Only for them it’s worse because they’re trying to break in a new quarterback on the fly in Jay Cutler. Los Angeles knows this and are undoubtedly aiming to fluster the erratic quarterback into making some of his trademark ill-advised throws.
MIA 14, LAC 20
New York Jets @ Oakland Raiders
One has to feel for poor Jet fans. They’ve endured a lot over the years and it looks like the bottom is about to fall out. They’re trotting Josh McCown behind a bad offensive line with few weapons against a team that appears poised for a deep playoff run in the Raiders. Don’t expect Derek Carr or Khalil Mack to show any mercy on this team.
NYJ 10, OAK 45
Dallas Cowboys @ Denver Broncos
There are so many intriguing matchups in this game. Von Miller against Tyron Smith. Aqib Talib against Dez Bryant. Chris Harris Jr. against Cole Beasley. It really is a strength vs. strength sort of game. Will the loaded Cowboys offense set the tone or is that Denver defense going to be too much? Don’t be surprised if home field plays heavily into this one.
