The New Orleans Saints continue to try finding the right formula to finally turn around what has been one of the worst defenses of the modern era.

Their first outing in Minnesota was not encouraging as Sam Bradford and Stefon Diggs picked them apart most of the afternoon. It seems that defeat caused a trigger effect to where the Saints are already seeking potential changes. A big one that just hit the social media circles is their possible intention to trade safety Kenny Vaccaro.

The former 1st round pick is in the last year of his rookie contract. New Orleans just got done drafting a safety in the 2nd round for the second-straight year in Marcus Williams. He and Vonn Bell appear to be the planned pairing for the future. Coupled with the fact that Vaccaro has an injury history, his exit appears likely in 2018. This means the Saints may be trying to get some thing back for him before that happens.

If so, here are a few teams to watch.

Buffalo Bills

Always look to the teams with a ton of draft picks to give. Buffalo is one of those teams for sure. A series of trades has netted them multiple high choices in 2018. This means they might be feeling a bit more generous in their search for possible talent. Right now Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer are their starting safeties. Not exactly a couple of household names. Sean McDermott may want to more competition to the mix.

Los Angeles Chargers

Gus Bradley has always done his best work on defense when he has an aggressive, hard-hitting safety. The Chargers don’t really have one of high caliber at the moment. Jahleel Addae and Tre Boston are serviceable enough but not capable of the same heights that Vaccaro still is. Bradley would know exactly how to employ his talents..

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs have been aggressive on the trade front to this point. They already acquired Reggie Ragland from Buffalo and Cameron Erving from Cleveland. Vaccaro would make an attractive young talent who fits their defensive scheme. Remember that they just lost star safety Eric Berry for the season to a torn Achilles. This move would give them needed depth with long-term potential for more.
