Brothers featured in the Last Chance U series are now facing prison time

Isaiah Wright, a running back featured in the Netflix documentary “Last Chance U,” and his brother Camion Patrick were arrested separately on Wednesday for the July 25 stabbing death of Caleb Thomas Radford in Tennessee.

Last Chance U featured the East Mississippi Community College football team for two seasons. Wright was highlighted in season two as a star of the team struggling with injuries and attitude issues with the coaching staff.

Wright left EMCC and transferred to the University of West Georgia, but according to Connor Tapp of 247Sports is no longer enrolled in the program.

Patrick transferred to the University of Indiana and appeared in 10 games last season. He received a medical hardship from the NCAA after tearing his ACL, ending his collegiate football career.

Radford was stabbed “multiple times” according to the Knoxville News Sentinel, and two others have also been charged with his murder. Police Chief David Carswell said Keshawn Lonnell Hopewell and Itiq Tivone Green are also behind bars in relation to Radford’s death. The suspects are being held on $1 million bails.

Netflix announced the series would not return to EMCC following the second season of filming. Independence Community College will now be featured in season three of the documentary.
