5th Round

OLB. USC. Porter Gustin . 5. player. 57. Porter Gustin will be viewed as a tweener during the draft. Not quite big enough for defensive end, not quite athletic enough for outside linebacker. He’s not the most explosive athlete. His strengths lay in his smarts, intensity, and motor. Just when it looks like he’s invisible, he pops into the frame to put heat on the quarterback. He does this consistently.

6th Round

player. 57. Washington was added earlier for the speed. Now the Bears see if they can get someone with size. Jake Wieneke has dominated at South Dakota State since he got onto the field. At 6’4″ he presents an inviting target. Not only is he great in one-on-one situations, he’s got the body control and hands to make some ridiculous catches. The Bears need a greater red zone presence.. WR. South Dakota State. Jake Wieneke . 6

7th Round

57. Thus far Eddie Goldman has managed to stay healthy and that’s some good news. Of course good news on the injury front doesn’t seem to agree with the Bears lately so that can change. Either way they need to think about beefing up their interior depth at nose tackle. Kahlil McKenzie has shown himself to be quite the plugger for Tennessee though the rest of his game needs work.. DT. Tennessee. Kahlil McKenzie . 7. player
