6. Dalvin Cook, RB, Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings took a bit of a risk on Dalvin Cook when they traded up in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft to take him, but he’s proven — at least through one game — to be worth the risk.

It appears as though the Vikings have themselves a new featured running back.

As much as Cook was known for his ability to break off the big play at Florida State, he’s a very underrated, very tough inside runner. He didn’t have a touchdown in this game, but he helped set up the passing game very nicely for Sam Bradford and the Vikings.

You get a chance on some of these runs to see Cook’s explosiveness. He has exceptional burst and we know that from his time at Florida State, obviously, but Vikings fans got a good look at it on Monday Night.

Cook looked like a seasoned pro in this game against the Saints.
